We don’t know about you, but our October was a whirlwind of events and activities… And it was just a precursor to the bustling weeks ahead as we settle in for the holiday season and the last book publishing with us for 2023!
Our featured book this month is one that’s near and dear to a local Delaware County family whose legacy stretches back over a hundred years in the Delaware Valley region. A meticulous biography years in the making, we guarantee you’re in for a real treat of local, backyard history.
A German American Family Becomes America’s Most Wanted
“This is as fair a treatment of my family’s history as I have seen… after years of extensive research.”
— Louis E. Bergdoll
Looking for the next book to add to your TBR pile? You should consider Tim Lake’s biography on the infamous Bergdolls—a story for the ages that has it all!
A missing fortune, a mother who will do whatever it takes for her family, race cars and a Wright Brothers’ airplane… all set within the backdrop of a World War.
The Bergdoll family’s local legacy has persisted nearly a century after the scandal. Did you know their personal airfield existed in what is now the Manoa Shopping Center in Havertown (just up the road from us)? Or where their mansion stood near West Chester Pike and the Blue Route?
It doesn’t get more backyard history than The Bergdoll Boys, a biography and history on one of Delaware County’s most infamous families.
